Proposal content is where you set the standard text that shows up on the proposals your team sends out — the default email used to send a proposal, your contractor license and About information, plus the legal and payment language like disclaimers, payment terms, and terms and conditions. Set it once per branch and every new proposal starts with it filled in, so your team doesn’t retype the same boilerplate on every deal.
Proposal content is part of Workspace Settings and is Admin-only. If you don’t see Settings in your navigation, your role doesn’t include settings access — ask an admin to make these changes for you.

Open Proposal content

1

Go to Settings → Proposals

Open Settings from your navigation, then choose Proposals. The page opens on the Proposal Content tab.
2

Pick the branch

If your company has more than one branch, use the branch selector in the top-right to choose which branch you’re editing. Each branch keeps its own proposal content, so the license, About text, and terms can differ from one location to the next.
Proposal settings are organized into tabs: Proposal Content, Financing Terms, Customer Reviews, and Payment Methods. This guide covers the first tab. Switching branches here keeps you on the same tab, so you can move from branch to branch without losing your place.

What you can set

Every field below appears on the Proposal Content tab. None of them are required — fill in the ones that apply to how your branch sends proposals, and leave the rest blank.

The send email

These two fields set the default email your team starts with when sending a proposal to a customer. Whoever sends the proposal can still edit the email before it goes out — this is just the starting point.
  • Default proposal email subject — the subject line for the send email.
  • Default proposal email body — the message body for the send email.
Both fields support variables — short placeholders that get filled in automatically with the right details for each proposal. Type them exactly as shown, including the double braces:
A good subject and body save your team real time. For example: subject Your proposal from {{ company_name }} and a body that opens with Hi {{ client_first_name }}, — every proposal then goes out personalized without anyone having to type the customer’s name.

Company and licensing

  • Finance partner URL — the web link customers tap from the Apply Now button on a proposal to apply for financing. Paste the full address, starting with https://.
  • Contractor license — your contractor license, shown on proposals.
  • About — a short description of your company that appears on proposals. This is your chance to introduce yourselves to the customer.
  • About video URL — a link to a video about your company to feature on proposals. Paste the full address, starting with https://.
  • Disclaimer — disclaimer text shown on proposals.
  • Payment terms — the payment terms shown on proposals.
  • Insurance claims — text about insurance claims, shown on proposals.
  • Terms and conditions — the full terms and conditions shown on proposals. This field allows the most text, so it’s the right place for your complete legal language.
These fields are plain text shown to the customer on the proposal. Paste in the exact wording you want customers to see.

Save your changes

1

Edit the fields

Update any field you want to change. A short note under each field reminds you what it’s for and where it shows up.
2

Save Changes

Click Save Changes at the bottom. The button stays disabled until you’ve actually changed something, so if it’s greyed out, there’s nothing new to save.
Changed your mind before saving? Click Cancel to drop your edits and snap every field back to what it was when you opened the page.
Saving updates the proposal content for the selected branch only. To change another branch, switch to it with the branch selector and save again there. Updates apply to proposals you create from then on.

Proposal content is set per branch. Manage your branches and their details here.

Payment terms

Set up the payment terms your team can offer, separate from the payment-terms text shown on a proposal.
