The Invoices settings area lets you tailor how invoices look and behave for each branch. Two things live here that work hand in hand:
  • Invoice content — the standard footer text added to the bottom of every invoice.
  • Invoice automations — the rules that can create (and optionally send) a deposit invoice for you the moment a proposal is signed.
Settings are saved per branch, so you can give each branch its own footer and its own automation rules.
The Invoices settings area is Admin-only. If you don’t see Settings in the navigation, or you don’t see Invoices inside it, your role doesn’t include workspace settings access — ask an admin to make the change for you.

Open the Invoices settings

1

Go to Settings

Open Settings from the navigation, then choose Invoices under the Sales & Operations group.
2

Pick the branch

If your organization has more than one branch, use the branch selector in the top-right to choose which branch you’re editing. Every change you make applies to the branch shown here.
3

Choose a tab

The Invoices page has tabs across the top: Overview, Invoice Content, Credit & Void Reasons, and Payment Terms. Automations live on Overview; the footer lives on Invoice Content.
No branches yet? If the page shows No branches available, you’ll need to set up a branch configuration before you can edit invoice settings. See the related guides at the bottom of this page.
The footer is the standard block of text printed at the bottom of every invoice for the selected branch — a thank-you line, a return policy, payment instructions, or anything else you want on every invoice.
1

Open the Invoice Content tab

On the Invoices page, click Invoice Content.
2

Type your footer

In the Invoices Footer box, enter the text you want at the bottom of every invoice (for example, “Thank you for your business!”). Leave it blank if you don’t want a footer.
3

Save

Click Save Changes. The Save Changes button stays disabled until you’ve actually made an edit, and Cancel discards any unsaved changes and restores what was there before.
The footer applies to every invoice for this branch, including any deposit invoices created by the automations below. If you run more than one branch, repeat this for each branch’s footer.

Turn on deposit invoice automations

Automations save your team a step: when a proposal is signed, the system can create the deposit invoice for you, and even email it to the client — no manual follow-up needed. You’ll find these on the Overview tab under Invoice Automations. There are two switches, and the second one builds on the first:
1

Auto Create Deposit Invoice

Turn this on to automatically create a deposit invoice when a proposal is signed. The invoice is generated for you and waiting in your invoices list, ready to review or send.
2

Auto Send Deposit Invoice

Turn this on to also automatically send the deposit invoice to the client when a proposal is signed. This option only becomes available once Auto Create Deposit Invoice is on, and it needs the client’s email on file to deliver the invoice.
These switches save the moment you toggle them — there’s no separate Save button on this tab. A confirmation appears when the change goes through.
Auto Send depends on Auto Create. If you turn Auto Create Deposit Invoice off, Auto Send turns off automatically too — you can’t send an invoice that was never created.
If a client has no email address on file, the deposit invoice will still be created (when Auto Create is on) but won’t send automatically. Add the client’s email, or send the invoice manually from the invoices list.

Per-branch reminder

Both the footer and the automation switches apply only to the branch currently selected at the top of the page. To configure another branch, switch branches with the selector and repeat. There’s nothing to copy between branches — each one keeps its own settings.

Payment terms

Set the payment terms that appear on this branch’s invoices.

Credit & void reasons

Manage the reasons your team can pick when crediting or voiding an invoice.

Branch configuration

Set up and manage the branches whose invoice settings you’re editing.

Proposal content

Tailor what appears on proposals — the documents whose signing kicks off these automations.
