Video: Meni AI Overview for Teams (1:24)
Open Meni
- Click the sparkles button in the top bar (its tooltip reads Ask the docs).
- Or press Cmd + J (Mac) or Ctrl + J (Windows). Press it again to close the panel.
- Many pages also have an Ask Meni button — for example the Dashboard, the Automations page, the Data Sources area of Integrations, and the Communications inbox.
Full Meni or Ask the docs
What Meni can do for you depends on whether the full assistant is turned on for you.Everyone can use Ask the docs. If your panel shows the Docs tag, the full assistant isn’t turned on for you. Ask whoever manages your workspace if you need it. See Feature availability.
Start a conversation
When a conversation is empty, Meni greets you and shows a few suggestion cards picked for your role, such as What’s on my schedule today? or What are my latest leads?. Click a card to send it, or type in the Ask Meni anything… box and press send.- On a record’s page, Meni also offers quick prompts for that record, like Summarize this lead or What’s the status of this project?. When you say “this lead” or “this client”, Meni knows which record you mean.
- Since you were last here — with the full assistant, a short list of what changed (new leads, overdue invoices, today’s schedule, and more) can appear above the cards. Click a line to put that question in the message box, or dismiss the list.
- Talk instead of typing — if your browser supports it, click the microphone (Start voice input), speak, then click the stop button to turn your words into text. Press Esc to cancel a recording.
Panel buttons
With the full assistant, the panel header has these buttons:- New chat — start a fresh conversation.
- Conversation history — your saved chats with Meni, newest first. Click one to pick up where you left off, or hover it and click the trash icon to delete it.
- Meni memory — what Meni remembers (see Meni memory below). This only appears when Meni memory is turned on for you.
- Watch rules — the things you’ve asked Meni to keep an eye on. See Automations.
What Meni can answer
Video: Get Answers Fast with Meni (1:18)
- How Menaia works. Meni answers from these docs and ends with a Sources list of the pages it used. If the docs don’t cover something, it says so.
- Your live data (full assistant). Meni can look up leads, estimates, proposals, projects, jobs, the schedule and shifts, invoices, wallet and bonuses, badges, clients, your team, leaderboards, ride-alongs, customer reviews, and text conversations. It only sees what your role can see — if you ask about something your role can’t access, it tells you.
- Connected data sources. If your workspace has connected outside tools under Integrations, Meni can answer questions across them. See Data Sources.
- Open ended questions. Ask “What should I focus on today?” or “What’s at risk this week?” and Meni pulls the relevant records and gives you a short, prioritized answer.
Charts, tables, and record lists
When numbers read better visually, Meni builds the answer as a card right in the chat:- Charts — use the Chart / Table switch on the card to see the same data as rows. If a chart can’t be drawn, click Retry or Show as table.
- KPI tiles and tables — headline numbers and itemized rows. A note that starts with “Showing the first” and ends with “the data was capped.” means there was more data than the card shows.
- Record lists — when Meni names specific records (overdue invoices, stale leads, today’s jobs), it lists them as rows you can click to open. If there are more, you’ll see Showing X of Y and a View all link.
Ask Meni to make a change
With the full assistant, you can ask Meni to do things — “reschedule Tuesday’s shift to Thursday”, “mark these three leads lost”, “add a contact to this client”. Meni never changes anything on its own. It prepares an approval card, and nothing happens until you approve it.1
Ask for the change
Describe what you want in plain words. Meni looks up the records involved first, and asks you for anything it’s missing — like a date or time — instead of guessing.
2
Review the card
The card shows what you asked for under Requested change, followed by a live preview of the records it will touch. While it loads you’ll see Checking the current records and availability…. Anything worth a second look appears under Please review. Some cards let you edit the details — pick a different status, change the email text, or adjust a time — before you approve.
3
Approve or decline
Click the approve button to go ahead. It usually reads Approve change or Approve; for cancelling shifts, tasks, or time off, or deleting a project comment, it reads Confirm cancellation. A few cards name the action instead, such as Send email, Schedule, Create lead, or Apply to 3 leads. Click Decline if you don’t want it — the card then shows Declined and nothing changes.
You can’t keep chatting while a card is waiting. Approve or decline it before you send your next message.
When a card can’t be approved
- The preview is still loading or incomplete. The approve button stays unavailable. If you see “This proposal is incomplete. Ask Meni to prepare it again.”, ask Meni to try again.
- The record changed. If someone edited the record after Meni prepared the card, approving fails with “This record changed. Ask Meni to read it again and prepare a new proposal.”
- You don’t have permission. Meni only offers changes your role could make yourself in Menaia, and checks your permissions again when the preview loads and when you approve.
What Meni can prepare
Before creating a lead, Meni checks whether a lead with the same phone number or email already exists, and points you to it instead of creating a duplicate.
Meni memory
When Meni memory is turned on, Meni remembers useful facts between conversations — for example a client’s preferred contact time, or how you like your drafts written. Click Meni memory in the panel header to see what it remembers.- On a lead or client page, the panel has two tabs: This lead (or This client) for facts about that record, and About you for your own preferences. Anywhere else it shows your own memories.
- Where memories come from — each one is tagged with its source: Chat (your conversations with Meni), Message (follow-up emails sent to the lead), Ride-along, or Imported.
- Forget a memory — hover it and click the trash icon (Forget this memory). You can also ask Meni to forget or correct something in the chat.
Memories about a lead or client are shared with teammates who can see that record. Memories under About you are yours alone. Meni treats a memory as something it recalls, not as the current record — it checks the live data before acting on it.
Report a problem
Click the Report an issue button (the question-mark icon in the top bar), or pick Ask about an issue from the suggestion cards. Meni opens in a problem-report flow:1
Describe what happened
Meni asks what went wrong, where in the app, and when it started. It already knows which page you’re on and your device, so you don’t need to explain those.
2
Add a screenshot
Drop an image or video on the upload area above the message box, or click it to choose a file. A screenshot helps the team find the problem faster.
3
Let Meni file it
If it’s a how-to question, Meni answers it on the spot. If it’s a real bug, Meni files a report with the details and confirms it’s been sent to the team.
