- Payment methods — the ways a customer can pay (for example, Credit Card, Check, or Cash), shown as a clear list on the proposal.
- Financing terms — the monthly payment offers (for example, “0% for 12 Months”) a customer can choose instead of paying all at once.

Find these settings
1
Open Workspace Settings
Go to Settings, then under Sales & Operations choose Proposals. This is where everything that appears on a proposal is managed.
2
Pick the branch
If your company has more than one branch, use the branch selector in the top-right to choose the branch you want to edit. Every change on this page applies only to the selected branch.
3
Choose a tab
Along the top you’ll see tabs for Proposal Content, Financing Terms, Customer Reviews, and Payment Methods. Use Payment Methods and Financing Terms for the steps below.
Payment methods
The Payment Methods tab lists every way a customer can pay, in the order they’ll appear on the proposal. Each row shows the method’s name, its icon, where it sits in the order, and whether it’s Active or Inactive.Add a payment method
1
Open the form
On the Payment Methods tab, click Create New. The Create Payment Method form opens.
2
Enter a name
In Name, type the label customers will see — for example, Credit Card, Check, or Cash. This is exactly what shows on the proposal.
3
Choose whether it's a financing option
Leave Is financing unchecked for an ordinary payment method. Check it only if this method is a financing offer — checking it adds the monthly-payment selector and an apply-for-financing link to the proposal (see Financing terms below).
4
Pick an icon
Choose an Icon to show next to the method on the proposal. You can pick from options such as Credit Card, Dollar Sign, Bank, Wallet, Receipt, and more — choose the one that best fits the method.
5
Set the order
Sort Order controls where this method appears in the list. A lower number comes first, so the method with the lowest number shows at the top.
6
Set it active
Leave Is Active checked so the method appears on proposals right away. Uncheck it to keep the method saved but hidden for now.
7
Save
Click Create. The new method appears in the list and, if active, on this branch’s proposals.
Each payment method on a branch needs a distinct name. If you try to save a name that’s already in use on the branch, you’ll be asked to choose a different one.
Edit, reorder, or remove a method
- Edit — click the pencil icon on a row (or Edit in the row menu on a phone) to change the name, icon, order, or active state.
- Reorder — change the Sort Order numbers so the methods line up the way you want them to read on the proposal.
- Turn off temporarily — edit the method and uncheck Is Active. It stays in your list but won’t show on proposals until you turn it back on. This is the safe way to pause a method without losing it.
- Delete — click the trash icon (or Delete in the row menu) and confirm. Deleting removes the method for good.
Financing terms
The Financing Terms tab is where you set up the monthly-payment offers customers can choose on a proposal. Each term has a name, a length in months, and an interest rate. The list shows all the offers set up for the selected branch.Add a financing term
1
Open the form
On the Financing Terms tab, click Create New to open the Create Financing Term form.
2
Name the offer
In Name, enter a customer-friendly label such as 0% for 12 Months or 60-Month Plan. This is what the customer sees when choosing how to pay.
3
Set the term length
In Term length (months), enter the number of months the plan runs — for example, 12, 24, or 60.
4
Set the interest rate
In Interest rate (%), enter the annual rate as a percentage — for example, 0 for an interest-free offer, or 8.99.
5
Highlight it (optional)
Check Mark as most popular to flag this as your recommended offer. It gets a Most popular badge to help guide the customer’s choice. Use it on just one term so the badge stays meaningful.
6
Save
Click Create. The term joins the list and becomes available as a financing option on this branch’s proposals.
Edit or remove a term
- Edit — click the pencil icon on a row to adjust the name, length, rate, or “most popular” flag.
- Delete — click the trash icon and confirm. The term is removed and will no longer appear as a financing option on new proposals. Proposals you’ve already sent aren’t changed.
Financing terms only reach customers when the proposal offers a financing payment method. Make sure you have a payment method with Is financing checked on the same branch, so the financing offers you set up here actually appear.
How it fits together
For a branch’s proposals to show financing the way you intend, you need both pieces on that branch:1
Create a financing payment method
On the Payment Methods tab, add a method (for example, Financing) with Is financing checked. This turns on the monthly-payment selector for the customer.
2
Create the offers
On the Financing Terms tab, add the plans customers can pick — their names, lengths, and rates.
3
Review on a proposal
Open a proposal for that branch to confirm the payment methods and financing offers appear the way you expect.
When your workspace has Acorn Finance connected, the financing payment method stops appearing on any proposal that hasn’t been signed yet, including ones already sent — customers see the Acorn Finance financing offer in its place. Your other payment methods (such as Cash, Credit Card, and Check) are unaffected, and proposals already signed keep the method they were signed with. If your workspace doesn’t use Acorn Finance, everything on this page works exactly as described.
