Groups are the team feeds listed under Groups in your side navigation. Each group is a place to post, reply, react, and @mention teammates. When you set one up, you decide two things: who can see it and what kind of group it is. There are two group types: Use a Win group to celebrate sales, hours saved, and badges. Use a Communication group for updates, questions, and discussion that don’t need a leaderboard.
Only Admins can create, edit, and delete groups, change a group’s banner, and see the member count on a group. Everyone else who can see a group can post, react, and comment in it.
If you don’t see Groups in your side navigation, groups aren’t turned on for your workspace.

Create a group

1

Start a new group

In the side navigation, find the Groups heading. Click the three-dot menu beside it and choose New Group. If your workspace has no groups yet, click Create a Group under the heading instead. The Create New Group window opens on its first tab, 1. Details & Access.
2

Name the group

Enter a Group Name. This is required. It appears in the side navigation and at the top of the feed with a # in front of it.Add a Description (Optional) if you want. It shows under the group name at the top of the feed.
3

Choose who can see it

Use Allowed Branches, Allowed Roles, and Allowed Users to limit who sees the group. Each list opens in alphabetical order, so you can scroll to pick or type to search. Allowed Users lists people from every branch.Leave all three empty to show the group to everyone in your workspace. See Who can see a group for how the three lists combine.
4

Continue to the group type

Click Continue. The window moves to the second tab, 2. Choose Group Type.
5

Pick a group type

Under Choose a group type:, click one of the two cards:
  • Win Group — AI-generated win posts, a leaderboard for team performance, plus posts, threads, file sharing, and @mentions.
  • Communication Group — posts, threads, and commenting, with image and video sharing and @mentions. No leaderboard and no AI-generated win posts.
6

Choose a leaderboard (Win groups only)

If you picked Win Group, a Leaderboard field appears. Choose Sales, Crew, or both. A Win group needs at least one.
7

Create it

Click Create Group. The button stays off until you’ve picked a type, and for a Win group, at least one leaderboard. You’ll see Group created successfully, and the group appears in the side navigation.
Click Back to return to the first tab without losing anything you’ve entered. Click Cancel to close the window without creating the group.

Edit a group

You can open a group’s settings from two places:
  • Side navigation — hover over the group’s name, click the three-dot menu that appears, and choose Edit Group.
  • The group’s feed — click the member count button beside the group name at the top of the feed, for example (12).
The Edit Group window has the same two tabs as when you created the group. Change the name, description, or who can see the group on 1. Details & Access, then click Save Changes. To change the group type or its leaderboards, open 2. Choose Group Type. The group’s current type is marked Current. Click Save Changes on either tab to save everything. You’ll see Group updated successfully when your changes are saved.
The three-dot menus only show when the side navigation is expanded. If your navigation is collapsed to icons, expand it first.

Switch a group’s type

On 2. Choose Group Type, click the other card. A warning explains what changes before you save. Switching to a Communication Group will:
  • Remove the leaderboard from this group
  • Remove the ability to create AI-generated win posts
Members, posts, and past wins stay intact. You can switch back anytime. Switching to a Win Group turns on AI-generated win posts and a leaderboard for the group. You’ll need to pick at least one leaderboard before you can save.
Switching a Win group to a Communication group clears its leaderboard picks. If you switch back later, choose the leaderboards again.

Who can see a group

The three access lists work together:
  • An empty list doesn’t restrict anything. If you leave all three empty, everyone in the workspace sees the group.
  • Within one list, any match counts. If Allowed Roles has Sales Admin and Sales Member, someone with either role passes that list.
  • Every list you fill in must match. If you set both Allowed Branches and Allowed Roles, a person needs to be in one of those branches and have one of those roles. Filling in Allowed Users as well narrows it further, to only those people.
A few details to keep in mind:
  • Branches are matched against the branch you’re currently working in. If you switch to a branch that isn’t allowed, the group drops out of your navigation until you switch back.
  • Admins skip the role and user lists, but not the branch list. An Admin sees every group except those limited to other branches.
  • Only people who can see a group can post, comment, or react in it.
If you restrict a group to a branch you aren’t currently working in, it won’t appear in your side navigation after you create it. Switch to that branch to see and manage it.

Delete a group

1

Open the group's menu

In the side navigation, hover over the group’s name, click the three-dot menu, and choose Delete Group.
2

Confirm

The Delete Group window asks: Are you sure you want to delete “[group name]”? This will remove the group for all users. Click Delete Group to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.
You’ll see a confirmation that the group was deleted. It disappears from the side navigation for everyone, and its feed, posts, and leaderboard can no longer be opened.
There’s no way to bring a deleted group back from the app. If you only want to stop the leaderboard or AI win posts, switch the group to a Communication Group instead. If you only want to change who sees it, edit its access lists.
Deleting hides the group rather than erasing it. For how deleted records work, see Soft delete.
