Your equipment and vehicles live in your Resources list. This is where you keep your fleet of trucks, blowers, and other gear organized by branch, so the team always knows what you have. You manage all of this from Settings, under Resources.
Managing resources is Admin-only. If you’re not an Admin, you won’t be able to add, edit, or delete anything here.
Resources are organized into two parts: the individual items themselves (your specific trucks and machines) and the types that group them (for example, “Box Truck” or “Insulation Blower”). You set up a type once, then add as many items of that type as you need.

Open Resources

1

Go to Settings

Open Settings from the main navigation.
2

Open Resources

Select Resources. The page header reads Resources with the note “Manage vehicles, equipment, and other field resources.”
3

Pick a tab

Across the top you’ll see four tabs:
  • Equipment — your individual machines and gear
  • Equipment Types — the categories equipment is grouped under
  • Vehicles — your individual trucks and vans
  • Vehicle Types — the categories vehicles are grouped under
If it’s your first time setting things up, create your types first (under Equipment Types and Vehicle Types). Every piece of equipment and every vehicle has to be assigned a type, so having those ready makes adding the actual items quicker.

Add a piece of equipment

1

Open the Equipment tab

On the Resources page, choose the Equipment tab.
2

Click Create New

Press the Create New button at the top right of the list.
3

Fill in the details

  • Name (required) — what you call this piece of equipment.
  • Branch (required) — the branch it belongs to. Pick this first, because it determines which types you can choose.
  • Type (required) — the equipment type. Until you pick a branch, this field shows “Select branch first.”
  • Serial number (optional) — a unique identifier for the item.
  • Notes (optional) — any relevant details for this resource.
4

Save it

Click Create Equipment. You’ll see a confirmation and land back on the equipment list, with the new item included.
The equipment list shows each item’s Name, Type, Branch, and Serial Number, and you can search it by name.

Add a vehicle

1

Open the Vehicles tab

On the Resources page, choose the Vehicles tab.
2

Click Create New

Press the Create New button at the top right of the list.
3

Fill in the details

  • Name (required) — what you call this vehicle.
  • Branch (required) — the branch it belongs to. Pick this first so the right types appear.
  • Type (required) — the vehicle type. Until you pick a branch, this shows “Select branch first.”
  • License Plate (required) — the plate number.
  • Make and Model (optional) — the manufacturer and model.
  • Year (optional) — the model year.
  • VIN (optional) — the vehicle identification number.
  • Notes (optional) — any relevant details for this resource.
4

Save it

Click Create Vehicle. You’ll get a confirmation and return to the vehicles list.
The vehicles list shows Name, Type, Branch, License Plate, and Make / Model.

Set up types

Types are the categories your equipment and vehicles fall into. You create them on the Equipment Types and Vehicle Types tabs, and the steps are the same for both.
1

Open the right tab

Choose Equipment Types or Vehicle Types, then press Create New.
2

Fill in the type

  • Branch (required) — the branch this type belongs to.
  • Name (required) — the display name, like “Box Truck” or “Insulation Blower.”
  • Slug (required) — a short, unique tag for the type.
  • Sort Order (required) — a number that controls where this type appears in lists. Lower numbers come first.
  • Active — leave this checked to keep the type available. Uncheck it to hide a type you no longer use.
3

Save it

Click Create to add the type.
Some types are built in. For those, the Branch and Slug fields are locked, but you can still adjust the name, sort order, and whether they’re active.

Edit or remove an item

Every list — equipment, vehicles, and their types — works the same way.
  • Edit — click the pencil icon on a row (or Edit from the row’s menu on a smaller screen) to reopen it. Make your changes and click Save Changes.
  • Delete — click the trash icon (or Delete from the row’s menu). You’ll be asked to confirm. Deleting is permanent and can’t be undone.
Use the Search by name box at the top of any list to jump straight to the item you’re after instead of scrolling.
