You don’t have to do anything to turn this on. History is recorded for you in the background as estimates are worked on.
What’s tracked
For each tracked change, the record captures:- What changed — the part of the estimate that was updated
- From → to — the previous value and the new one
- When — the date and time it changed
- Who — the teammate who made the change
Where you’ll see it day to day
Several of these changes surface right on the Estimates list, so you can read an estimate’s story at a glance:- Status — the current status badge reflects the latest status change. Use the status menu to move an estimate forward, and the change is recorded.
- Sold Date — once an estimate is marked Sold, its sold date appears on the row. If the deal actually closed on a different day, you can correct that date.
- Updated At — shows the last time the estimate was touched.
- Client Viewed and Sent Date — for proposals, these tell you when the customer opened it and when it went out.
